Cantina Sound was founded in 2015 when supporting SlimFest oNe. Since then we supported all five years of SlimFest. In addition, we have been providing the sound and lights at the Fischer Haus Concerts since before that time. Currently, we provide sound for the Sycamore Creek House Concert series and the Stars Over Wimberley concert series. After holding sporadic house concerts at our own place, we started hosting more regularly (mostly monthly). During the pandemic of 2020, video capability was added for Cantina Sound events.
We use QSC powered speakers for mains, subwoofers, and monitors. Primarily, Midas mixers are used from the Front of House with monitors handled on tablets.
Video recording is powered by a Blackmagic ATEMs (including video capture of all cameras) with cameras from Panasonic, Blackmagic Designs, and Canon.
The Cantina Sound Workshop was built to store equipment between shows, but was configured to allow set up of a full sound and light configuration for test purposes. This space is now being used for house concerts and "live" music videos.
Starting in January 2023, Cantina Sound House Concerts started holding monthly house concerts in our workshop located between Dripping Springs and Johnson City. Previously, we held sporadic house concerts.
